Where these numbers come from

The ±30/20/10 day default is TJC survey practice (EC.02.03.05 / CAMH) — what an accreditation surveyor expects. It is not in NFPA 25 and not a CMS regulation. NFPA 25 §3.7.1.4–8 instead defines frequency as a month range (annual 9–15, semiannual 4–8, quarterly 2–4, 3-year 30–40, 5-year 54–66), which the checkbox above will show alongside. NFPA 72 defines no min/max variation in any edition, so fire alarm work follows the calendar frequency plus whatever your surveyor or AHJ expects. Task frequencies and section numbers come from our NFPA 25 summary table. Planning aid only — your AHJ’s adopted edition governs, and CMS still enforces older editions in certified healthcare occupancies.
