NICET requires 30 CPDs every 3 years for recertification (Level I, II, and III). Level IV may be higher in some subfields.

What it costs
Issuer fees change yearly. LifeSafetyWiki never republishes a fee we can’t verify against the source — when in doubt, the issuer’s portal is the source of truth.
NICET charges a recert fee at cycle end; verify current amount at nicet.org.
How to renew
Submit 3-year NICET Level I recertification
- Log CPD activities in your NICET online profile throughout the cycle
- 60 days before expiration: open recertification application
- Upload documentation (certificates, OJT records, course completions)
- Pay current recert fee
Classes that help you prepare
NICET does not run its own prep classes and does not endorse one provider. It publishes a list of recognised training providers instead.
Dates and pricing are published and kept current by NICET — we link rather than copy them, so nothing here goes out of date.
