How to renew
Pay annual renewal fee
- Log into my.bcsp.org with your BCSP credentials
- Open the Maintain Your Certification → Pay Fees section
- Confirm the current SMP annual renewal amount
- Pay via credit card; save the receipt as PDF
- Mark complete in LifeSafetyWiki once payment clears
Submit 5-year recertification (25 points)
- Throughout the cycle: log each recertification activity in my.bcsp.org as it happens
- 90+ days before cycle end: review your point total and identify any shortfall
- Submit the recertification application from the BCSP portal
- Upload documentation for each claimed activity (certificates, transcripts, agendas)
- BCSP audits a random sample of submissions — keep originals 5 years

BCSP offers examCORE Online for its certifications with six months of access. Its in-person course does not currently cover SMP.
