Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)

BCSP's construction-technician credential — the standard cert for field safety techs and coordinators on construction projects. Experience-based (3 years, no degree). The exam is field-practical: OSHA 1926 hazards and controls dominate (excavation, falls, rigging, silica, electrical), with emergency response, site safety programs, and training/leadership rounding out the CHST5 blueprint. Also a BCSP Qualified Credential for the CSP.

Eligibility
3 years of experience in construction safety where at least 35% of job duties require(d) technical skills and knowledge in safety, health, and environment. NO degree requirement.
Renewal
